Hertzler Systems Data Collection Policy

GainSeeker gives you the option of allowing Hertzler Systems to collect anonymous statistical information regarding your usage of some GainSeeker features. Having this information helps us to identify and further enhance the GainSeeker features you use most.

The following dialog displays the first time you install GainSeeker software and anytime Hertzler Systems changes its Data Collection Policy. Some wording may change according to the circumstances under which it is again displayed to you.

You can opt in or out of allowing Hertzler Systems to collect this information at any time by using the Send anonymous usage and error statistics to Hertzler Systems setting in the GainSeeker System Administration module.

Q: What information is collected?

A:

Technical information, such as anonymous statics about what components of GainSeeker are being most used by our customers. We do not collect any information in addition to what is listed in this topic. If the information we collect changes at any time in the future, GainSeeker will display a message letting you know, and will give you the option to continue participating.

Information that is collected:

GainSeeker Charts module usage:

• • SPC and DMS chart types you use

  • The frequency at which you change chart settings

  • The frequency at which you use GS Charts dashboards and desktops

  • The frequency at which you use the Variation Wizard, the Drill-down Wizard, and External Data functions.

  • Information gleaned any time your GainSeeker software encounters an error (the software "crashes")

System Administration module usage:

• • The frequency at which you create new users, roles, and configurations and change certain settings for each of these

  • Information gleaned any time your GainSeeker software ceases to operate (the software "crashes")

GainSeeker Utility, PC Collect, Inspection Editor, and Dynamic Reports modules usage:

• • Information gleaned any time your GainSeeker software encounters an error (the software "crashes")

Other information:

• • Operating System version

  • .Net version

  • GainSeeker database type (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.)

Q: Is the collected information shared outside of Hertzler Systems Inc.?

A:

No. The anonymous information we collect is not shared outside of Hertzler Systems Inc.
