There are two methods for setting the sort order of rows on a real-time failure dashboard:
When designing the dashboard, you configure the default sort order on the Rows tab. This sort order is saved with the dashboard.
When viewing the dashboard, you can click a column header to sort the rows according to the value of the cells in that column. Click the column header a second time to change the sort order in that column from ascending to descending or from descending to ascending.
In some cases, you can also press CTRL, ALT or SHIFT while clicking a column header to sort the rows according to a secondary value of the cells in that column. Press CTRL, ALT or SHIFT while clicking the column header a second time to change the sort order in that column from ascending to descending or from descending to ascending.
The way that the rows are sorted depends on several factors:
If no text items have been selected for the Cell text in this column, the cells will be sorted according to the color preferences defined for this configuration.
If one text item has been selected for the Cell text in this column, the cells will be sorted by this value.
Pressing CTRL, ALT or SHIFT while clicking the column header will re-sort the cells according to the color preferences defined for this configuration.
If two text items have been selected for the Cell text in this column, the cells will be sorted by the value of the first text item.
Pressing CTRL, ALT or SHIFT while clicking the column header will re-sort the cells according to the value of the second text item.
