When a table of raw SPC or DMS data is displayed, you can search for any values on the table.
(optional) Highlight the row where you want to begin searching.
Press CTRL+F to display the Find window. (If you have not already started a text search on this data table, you can also press the F3 key to display the Find window.)
Enter the text you want to search for, and then click OK. This search is not case sensitive.
Beginning with the highlighted row on the data table, GainSeeker will search for the text you have entered and will highlight the first row that displays that value.
Tips:
If you are searching a table of DMS data that has been collapsed (so that the defect rows are not displayed), GainSeeker will still search those defect rows for the text you have specified. If the search text is found on one of these collapsed defect rows, all of the defect rows for that data record will be expanded.
This text search cannot be used to search the contents of a note.
For SPC data, GainSeeker highlights the next cell that contains the search text.
For DMS data, GainSeeker highlights the main row of a data record that contains the search text.
To search for another instance of the text you are searching for, press the F3 key.
You can continue pressing F3 until no more instances of the search can be found.
If the search text is found multiple times in one DMS record, the main row of that data record will remain highlighted until pressing F3 has cycled through all of the instances of the search text in that record.
You can perform this kind of text search from:
a Data Table window in the SPC Charts and Reports or DMS Charts and Reports module (but not a Multiple Data Table)
the Failure Monitor, Good Data Monitor and Combined Monitor windows in the SPC Database Monitor module
the Data Table tab in a data entry session in the SPC Data Entry module
right-clicking a dashboard (or a gage on a KPI gage dashboard) and choosing View Data, View All Data or View Failure Data in the Enterprise Dashboard module
right-clicking any Pareto chart (including a drill-down Pareto chart) and choosing Show Data, Show Drill-down Data or Drill-down Data Table in the SPC Charts and Reports or DMS Charts and Reports module
