You can delete multiple standards and/or the records associated with them. Begin this process using the Select Part Number dialog box. See Accessing the Select Part Number dialog box.
Click Delete range... on the Select Part Number dialog box.
The Delete Range of Standards dialog box opens.
Click the first part number in the list that you want to delete. Then, press the CTRL ("control" key). Continue to press the CTRL key as you click additional standards you want to delete.
In the Delete field, opt to delete only the records for the selected standards (but retain the data)* or to delete the selected standards and all the data records associated with each.**
*If you delete only the standards, the data records for those standards will remain in your database. You will not be able to access any of that data until you re-create the standards. You should only select this option if you think you will use this data again. To delete only the standards, click Standard records only.
**Deleting the standards and all existing data will be slower than deleting only the standards. However, it will not leave unnecessary data records in your database. If you select this option, you should first use the Import Export Manager module to archive all of the data entered for these standards. To delete the standards and their data, click Standard and data records.
Click Delete on the Delete Range of Standards dialog box. (Or select Clear all to clear your selections in the list.)
