GainSeeker data can be installed on one of the following databases:
Microsoft SQL Server (including Microsoft SQL Server on Linux and Microsoft Azure SQL)
MySQL*
Oracle
Pervasive.SQL
These databases require:
A licensed copy of the database server software that will accommodate the expected number of concurrent GainSeeker users on your system, installed on a designated server.
Support from your information systems department for installing and maintaining the database server software. For a SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL database, you must have a trained database administrator (DBA).
A database backup system that can back up tables while they are open (in use).

* MySQL will function as expected with these component versions (shipped with GainSeeker). Other versions of the .NET connector and ODBC driver have sometimes produced unexpected results.
