Creating Horizontal and Vertical Lines with Static Text

You can use a Static Text control to create a horizontal or vertical line on your dashboard:

1. Add a new Static Text control to the dashboard.

2. When prompted to enter the Text value, type an asterisk ( * ) and then click OK.

3. Change the Properties for this Static Text control as follows:

   1. Set AutoSize = False

   2. Set BackColor to the color you want the line to be

   3. Expand the Size property and set the Width and Height:

      • For a vertical line, set the Width to 2 and the Height to 200. Then adjust the Height property or drag the end of the control to fit your needs.

      • For a horizontal line, set the Width to 200 and the Height to 2. Then adjust the Width property or drag the end of the control to fit your needs.

GainSeeker versions 8.7 and previous can view this dashboard but not design it. In these older versions, the minimum Height and Width were too large for this method to work.
