Before installing GainSeeker Suite, you must set up your database:
If needed, you can reduce the disk space needed for data records in your Oracle or Pervasive.SQL database by removing unused columns from certain tables. For more information, see Removing unused columns to reduce database size. (This method is no longer recommended for SQL Server and MySQL databases, which optimize disk space by using varchar columns instead of the fixed-width char columns currently required on Oracle and Pervasive. If you are upgrading from a GainSeeker version prior to 8.6 and use one of these databases, you can move your data into these newer tables.
