This setting allows you to specify a data source option for this workstation.

Valid options for this setting are:

  • dsn=data_source_name

The data_source_name you specify must be a valid Data Source Name on this workstation.

  • dsn=iList

Each time a GainSeeker module is launched, the user is prompted to choose from a list of all System Data Source Names on this workstation. This setting is not case sensitive.

  • dsn=iList:text

Each time a GainSeeker module is launched, the user is prompted to choose from a list of System Data Source Names that contain the specified text.

For example, adding the line dsn=iList: GainSeek to Cms.ini will show the user a list of the DSNs that include " GainSeek" in the name.

This setting is not case sensitive.

If you launch another GainSeeker module from the Power Tools menu in the SPC Data Entry, SPC Designer, SPC Planner or Priority List Editor module, the Data Source Name specified here is not passed to the next module.  If dsn=iList, the user must choose a Data Source Name to run the newly loaded module.

If a GainSeeker module is launched with the -DSN: command line parameter, the dsn= Cms.ini setting is ignored and the command line parameter is used.
