GainSeeker data can be installed on one of the following databases:
Microsoft SQL Server (including Microsoft SQL Server on Linux and Microsoft Azure SQL)
Oracle
Pervasive.SQL
MySQL*
These databases require:
A licensed copy of the database server software that will accommodate the expected number of concurrent GainSeeker users on your system, installed on a designated server.
Support from your information systems department for installing and maintaining the database server software. For a SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL database, you must have a trained database administrator (DBA).
A database backup system that can back up tables while they are open (in use).
A list of supported versions of these databases is available on the Hertzler Systems website.
* MySQL will function as expected with these component versions. Other versions of the .NET connector and ODBC driver have sometimes produced unexpected results.
MySQL database server version 5.1.26
MySQL .NET connector version 5.0.8.1 or 6.4.6
MySQL ODBC driver version 3.51
Because the latest version of the MySQL database that worked consistently
with GainSeeker is no longer supported, Hertzler Systems no longer recommends
MySQL as one of the database options for new
deployments of GainSeeker, and MySQL components are no longer included
with GainSeeker installation media. |
