Choosing the GainSeeker system(s)

In the GainSeeker system box, select the system or systems into which you will import data.  You can select one or both systems, depending on the type of data to be imported from your database tables.

If your database tables contain variable data, select Read data into SPC.

If your database tables contain defect data, select Read data into DMS.  In addition, it is important to specify the highest number of different types of defects that might exist for one defect data record.  Select this number from the Maximum Defects list, up to a maximum of 20 defect types on one row.

To view the first few lines of the query result set for any connection, select the connection from the Data source that guides the template through data entry list, and then click Execute query.

Note:  Use caution when testing an INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE query.  If the query can be processed without errors, it will modify the contents of the specified table.  One good precaution is to back up the table contents just before testing the query.
