Understanding Templates, Planned and Stored Sessions

A template is the most basic type of data entry. An operator must select all values during data entry, including the standard and all traceability values.

A planned session allows the system manager or other qualified personnel to set up a data entry session where a template is pre-filled with the appropriate standard(s) and/or traceability values.

A data entry operator can save an unfinished data entry session as a stored session, which they can open and complete later. The operator can also type additional instructions or notes on the Instructions tab and save that that information with the stored session.

Note: Information on the DMS Data Entry tab (if one exists) is not stored in a stored session.
