Selecting a standard for Quick Start data entry

The way that you choose a standard for Quick Start data entry depends on the Quick Start Preferences you selected:

If you selected Existing Part Number on the Quick Start Preferences screen, GainSeeker will display a list of standards similar to the following examples:

Click the name of the standard for which you are entering data, and then click OK. For help working with the list of standards, see Finding and selecting SPC standards.

Tip: A very large list of standards can be slow to display. For information on speeding up this process, see Managing many standards.

If you selected New Part Number on the Quick Start Preferences screen, GainSeeker will prompt you to create a new standard.

Note: In PDA mode (shown below), you can only specify the Description, Subgroup size, Number of decimals, Upper spec and Lower spec for the new standard.
All other options for the new standard will be set to default values. To configure these other options for the standard, follow the instructions in Creating and editing standards when running GainSeeker in normal mode.
