Log into DMS Data Entry and select a part number and process, date, traceability and sample size as usual.
Enter a defect with your wand.
You will be prompted with a form that displays the defect you just entered and allows you to enter the location.
Enter the location of the defect with your wand.
If you prefer, you may select a location from the list or type the location.
Enter the next location of the defect with your wand. You can only enter one defect at a time.
If you have several defects in the same location, you can enter the first defect and select the location, and then enter the rest of the defects with the wand. (You do not have to enter the location after each defect).
After entering your last defect and location, click Submit or press the Enter key to submit.
If your bar code program can print Enter or ALT+S, then you can use the wand to submit your entries instead of using the keyboard or mouse. The bar code printing utility packaged with the GainSeeker suite does not support ALT characters or the Enter key.
Click Close, or press ALT+C, to return to the main data entry form.
If your bar code program can print ESC or ALT+C, then you can use these select Close with the wand instead of using the keyboard or mouse. The bar code printing utility packaged with the GainSeeker suite does not support ALT characters or the Enter key.
With the wand, select Save/Same or Save/Change to save your data.
