After you have defined the Retrievals and the Design for a dynamic report, you can export the definition of that report to an .rdlz file. You can also import a dynamic report from an .rdlz file (Dynamic Reports 2 format) or from an .rdlx file (Legacy Dynamic Reports format).
From the main window in Dynamic Reports 2, select the report you want to export. Then click the File menu and select Export.
On the Save As window, choose the location and enter a name for the new file you want to create. Then click Save.
After the export file has been created, GainSeeker will display a message to indicate that the export was successful.
Please note that the exported .rdlz file contains only the Retrievals and the Design for the report. Items referenced by a retrieval such as Filters, Report Formats, Chart Skins, Python scripts, etc. are not included in the .rdlz file.
From the main window in Dynamic Reports 2, click the File menu and select Import.
On the Open window, browse to the folder that contains the .rdlz or .rdlx file you want to import and select that file. Then click Open.
You will be prompted to enter a name for each retrieval being imported, and then to enter a name for the report.
After the report has been imported, GainSeeker will display a message to indicate that the import was successful.
