Finding the Notes

This topic contains information about the legacy Note Manager, which is being phased out from GainSeeker Suite. It is still available for use in version 8.3, but is being replaced by the new Note Manager function in the GainSeeker Utility module.

View Notes

By clicking on Edit Note, you will be able to view any Notes from the selected range as well as edit and delete them. The bottom of the Edit Note screen will indicate the number of Notes found. By clicking on the arrow buttons, you can view the Notes one-by-one.

If you click on Find, you can see a list of all the values within the specified range that have Notes attached, or you can select a data record without a Note and attach a new Note to it.

By clicking on "All data," you will be able to see a list of all the values in your database. When you highlight a value, the dialog will display a message in the bottom right-hand corner indicating that a Note is attached to that value.

From either the "Notes" or "All data" list, you can highlight a value with an attached Note. Click OK to see the "Edit DMS Notes" dialog for that value.

Note: Traceability fields 7 through 48 that have been set will be listed after traceability field six in the data record display of the Edit Note screen. In SPC, data points for subgroups larger than eight display the additional points (9 through 72) after the eighth data point in the data record display.
