Note: When sending charts to these formats, DMS may append statistics below the chart. For more information, see Printing charts, data lists and reports.
From a chart, table or list in the DMS Charts and Reports module, or from a data table in the DMS Data Entry module, you can send the information from that window to a file or to another application.
To do so, right-click on the window, and then click Send To. In the DMS Charts and Reports module, you can also click the File menu and then click Send To. Either method allows you to choose from the following options:
Clipboard: Sends information to the clipboard.
File: Saves information to a file.
Editor: Sends information to the editor you've established in your Cms.ini. This is WordPad by default.
HTML: Opens information as HTML.
XML: Opens information as XML. (Statistics list, data table and defect detail list only.)
MINITAB: Opens information in MINITAB for further statistical analysis. See Exporting data to MINITAB for more information. (Data table and defect detail list only.)
MINITAB file format: Saves information in MINITAB file format for further statistical analysis at a later time. (Data table and defect detail list only.)
JMP: Opens information in JMP software for further statistical analysis. (Data table and defect detail list only.)
Printer: Prints the current chart. (Charts only.)
Find Application: Allows you to choose a program to open the information in as an . rtf file. You may only choose from . exe program files when using this option.
Email: Sends the information to email.
