Note: This topic pertains to the SPC Data Entry module and legacy GainSeeker modules such as SPC Charts and Reports, DMS Charts and Reports, and Enterprise Dashboard. For information on the GainSeeker Charts and PC Collect modules, see Using MINITAB with GainSeeker. |
If you want to configure MINITAB to automatically perform one or more functions after opening a file sent from GainSeeker, you can create MINITAB macros to perform these functions.
The macros can be global or local. Global macros must begin with the keyword "GMACRO".
To automatically run a macro after sending a GainSeeker table to MINITAB, you must name the macro according to the following table .
Module/Table |
Macro Name |
SPC Charts and Reports, Data Table |
Spc_dt.gmm |
DMS Charts and Reports, Defect Detail |
Dms_def.gmm |
DMS Charts and Reports, Data Table |
Dms_dt.gmm |
SPC Charts and Reports, Multiple Data Table |
Spc_mdt.gmm |
SPC Data Entry, Data Table |
Spc_dedt.gmm |
Also, you must copy or move the macro to your GainSeeker data folder. To find your data folder:
Launch any GainSeeker module.
From the Help menu, click About.
Click User Status, and then click File Paths.
For multiple databases, you may want to copy a MINITAB macro to the data folders for each user configuration you have set up. You could also customize the macro in each folder so that MINITAB performs differently for each database.
