Using a filter to restrict the Part Number list

Use the Restrict List dialog to restrict the Part Number tab list to items that have data meeting a certain date period or filter condition. The selected date range and filter can then be optionally applied to the retrieval settings.

This topic is limited to the Restrict list to items containing data for the following filter: option. See Using a date period to restrict the Part Number list for information on the Restrict list to items containing data for the following date period: option.

To select a filter:

  1. Click the checkbox that precedes the Restrict list to items containing data for the following filter: setting on the Restrict List dialog.

  2. Click the Set... button.

The Select Filters dialog opens. See Working with Filters for information on selecting filter conditions.

  1. Click OK on the Select Filters dialog after a filter condition is selected.

The Restrict List dialog displays.

  1. Click OK, or:

 

The SPC (or DMS or DMS/OEE) Charts dialog displays. The word Restricted displays beneath the Restrict... button, indicating that the Part Number list has been restricted to display only standards that pass any set date period and filter restrictions.
