Deleting notes

This topic contains information about the legacy Note Manager, which is being phased out from GainSeeker Suite. It is still available for use in version 8.3, but is being replaced by the new Note Manager function in the GainSeeker Utility module.

Deleting specific items

If you want to delete a range of the Notes currently attached to the values in your database, click the Delete button from the first screen of the Note Manager.

If you want to delete only individual Notes, click the Edit button from the first screen of the Note Manager. After selecting your range of selected values, click on Edit.

After finding the Note you want to delete, click on the Delete button. You will get a prompt confirming your instructions to delete the Note.

Note: When the Note audit trail function is turned on, the Edit Note dialog logs all changes to notes in the AUDITTRL table. The log entry records the current date/time, user name, user configuration name, the original note (if any), and the changes made. The dialog also logs all changes to the Event in the DMS audit trail file.
