For Dial gages and Bar gages, these settings are applied as follows:
The Maximum scale value sets the default high value on the gage.
The Minimum scale value sets the default low value on the gage.
The Target value fixes the location of the Target pointer on the gage.
For each of these settings, you can either enter a number or select a statistic. Using statistics for these settings makes it easy to copy gages and KPI dashboards because you don't need to manually update these settings for each instance of the gage.
To assign a fixed number to this setting, click the Value used for setting list and select User-defined number.
Then type the desired number in the Number box.
To choose a statistic for this setting, select any other option from the Value used for setting list.
By default, this list contains only an abbreviated collection of statistics. If you cannot find the desired statistic, click the button to select from the full list of statistics.
There are two ways to choose a statistic from this list:
Click the list and browse the available items.
Search the list by typing your search text in the Contains box and then clicking Find next.
Tip: If your gage seems to display a larger range of values than the Maximum and Minimum you have set here, you may have defined Region colors that extend beyond these values. |
