You can use a Quick Filter to analyze only the data points that meet the criteria you set for a traceability field, or to sort the data in order by a particular traceability field.
To set up a Quick Filter, follow the steps below:
Select the Quick filter check box.
Click the Traceability list and select the traceability field for which to set filter criteria.
Click the Test list and select the method for comparing values.
Equals and Doesn't Equal look for data point traceability values that exactly match the value you enter in the Value box below.
Contains and Doesn't Contain will check the data point traceability field for the value you enter in the Value box below. If the data point traceability field contains this value plus additional characters, the data point will still pass the filter and be included in your analysis.
Sort will sort the data in order by the data point values found in the Traceability field you selected above.
This step depends on the type of Test you selected in the previous step:
If you selected Equals, Doesn't Equal, Contains or Doesn't Contain, enter the value to search for in the Value box.
If a list of pre-defined values has been entered for this traceability field, you can select one of these values by clicking the arrow for the Value box. This is typically used with the Equals or Doesn't Equal test.
Alternately, you can type the value for which you want to filter in the Value box. If you are filtering for only a partial traceability value, type that value here and choose the Contains or Doesn't Contain test.
If you selected Sort, choose whether to sort the data in Ascending or Descending order according to the values in the Traceability field you selected above.
To turn off all filters, clear the Quick filter check box and select All Data from the Available filters list.
If you selected Analysis Mode 2 on Chart Wizard Step 1, one more option is available:
To apply the selected filter to all part numbers or Short Run process specifications that you selected on Chart Wizard Step 1, select the Apply filter to all items in selected values list check box.
To apply the selected filter only to the values you selected on Chart Wizard Step 3 for retrieval and statistical options, clear the Apply filter to all items in selected values list check box.
After setting the options on this step, you have several options:
To keep your changes and return to Retrieval Options Wizard Step 2, click Back.
To undo your changes and return to Chart Wizard Step 3, click Cancel.
To select a measurement conversion or advanced retrieval options, click Next to move to Retrieval Options Wizard Step 4.
To keep your changes and return to Chart Wizard Step 3, click Finish.
