A Combined Control Chart displays each retrieval group with a unique combination of color and line type.
Colors
By default, the Combined Control Chart selects colors for subsequent retrieval groups in the following order:
|
|
For example, the first retrieval group will be displayed in blue, the second in dark red, the third in yellow, and so forth. This helps you to distinguish between retrieval groups on the chart.
After cycling through all 13 colors, the next retrieval group (i.e. 14th) will again be displayed with the first color in the cycle – which is "blue" by default.
To begin with a different color in the cycle, change the color for Data. For more information, see Changing Fonts and Colors on Charts.

Line types
The Combined Control Chart uses one line type for the first 13 retrieval groups (each with its own color), a second line type for the second 13 retrieval groups, and so on.
By default, the Combined Control Chart uses line types in the following order:
solid
short dash
dash-dot
long dash
dash-double dot
For example, the first retrieval group will be displayed in blue with a solid line, the second in dark red with a solid line, the third in yellow with a solid line, and so forth, until all 13 colors have been used. Then the 14th retrieval group will be displayed in blue with a short dash line, the 15th in dark red with a short dash line, the 16th in yellow with a short dash line, and so forth, until all 13 colors have been used again. This helps you to distinguish between retrieval groups on the chart.
After cycling through all 5 line types, the next 13 retrieval groups will again be displayed with the first line type in the cycle – which is "solid" by default.
To begin with a different line type in the cycle, change the line type for Data. For more information, see Changing display options on a combined control chart.
