One GainSeeker administration strategy is to create usernames that:
match the network login names of GainSeeker users
do not have a login password
When one of these network users launches a GainSeeker module to which they have login access, GainSeeker will automatically log in the user without displaying the login screen.
However, if another network user launches a GainSeeker module, the program will display the login screen. This user can choose a User or group name from the list and log in without entering a password.
Navigate to this setting following this path on the Configurations tab of the System Administration module:
System-wide settings | Require network ID at login
Then, select the Require network ID at login checkbox.
An informational dialog box opens asking you to confirm the setting selection.
With this setting, all GainSeeker modules will:
ignore any user or group name found on an icon command line.
ignore any user or group name found in Redirect.hsi or Cms.ini.
look for a GainSeeker login name that matches the current network login name.
If found, GainSeeker will automatically log in this user without displaying the login screen.
If no match is found, GainSeeker will display an error message and exit the module.
Before GainSeeker version 8, this setting was read from Convert.db as ReqNetID=1.
