Greetings everyone!! Let me shamelessly plug our next GainSeeker Tech [...]
GainSeeker Suite real-time SPC software can have a profound impact on a business, and even on a whole supply chain. What makes that possible? It seemed to me that we could boil it down to a few really big differences between GainSeeker and most of the rest of the software that is out there for collecting, managing, and analyzing manufacturing quality data. Here is my short list of the top features.
This May we launched our new Client Advisory Board. We hosted our inaugural meeting in Chicago on May 16. Eight clients from across the United States flew or drove in for the day-long meeting. Most of them came the night before to tour one of the CAB member’s manufacturing plants. Our company prides itself on being customer focused. And we do a pretty good job. But often our conversations are tactical; down-in-the-weeds. We talk to customers. They tell us what problem they’re trying to solve. We roll up our sleeves and get the job done. We wanted to step back and ask bigger questions.
So what do fire hydrants and Real Time SPC Software have in common? Recently I sat down with a client to talk about how deploying GainSeeker Real Time SPC Software has benefited his company. Joseph Benford (everyone calls him "Buddy") is the Corporate Quality Manager for Mueller Co. Mueller is a 160 year-old manufacturing company that started in central Illinois. They manufacture water distribution products, including fire hydrants and a variety of valves and gates, with a number of facilities across North America.
A recent example of an increased drive for standardized SPC software across the supply chain comes from Consolidated Container Company’s (CCC) deployment of GainSeeker Suite. Up until recently, GainSeeker Suite was one of several SPC software solutions in use across CCC’s 59 plants in North America. Some months back, the company decided to standardize on a single quality system. After an exhaustive process, they selected GainSeeker Suite as their standard platform for quality data. Find out how it's going.
I usually wait until a new version is out to give you the scoop on new and innovated features; however, I just received training in our next release of GainSeeker and I am so excited I have to tell you now! Version 8.7 Dashboards will introduce a new property in our Date/Time feature that I know many of our customers will appreciate! So, while you read this, I hope the excitement and enthusiasm builds!
“We gotta get off paper.” That theme ran through our early conversations with Dave Frey, Quality Assurance Manager at boat manufacturer Smoker Craft. A surprising number of conversations with prospective clients start with, “We gotta get off paper.” In many cases, they’ve invested heavily in information infrastructure. But in spite of that investment they still lack timely, accurate, actionable information. The good news is that they may not be as far behind as they think they are. These problems can be solved. What it takes is a little bit of technology, and the will to say, “Business as usual isn’t going to be acceptable anymore.”
Clients often ask what they should look for in real-time SPC software. For many of our clients, automating their current manual processes, or replacing an existing, inadequate system is something they’ll do once or twice in their entire career. On the other hand, we live, sleep, eat, and breathe real-time data collection and analytics software. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we have a lot of experience in a lot of industries. So we’re happy to share our expertise. One way we thought we could help is to develop our Real-Time SPC Software Buyer’s Guide.
How does real-time manufacturing intelligence help? A new case study describes how PLZ Aeroscience implemented GainSeeker Suite, resulting in reduced material costs, higher production numbers, reduced inventory and raw material costs, increased revenue, and several other benefits.
